So, what is Base Camp anyway? Base Camp is a private event hosted on a Farm Property in the desert of Thermal, California, situated just south of the Coachella Music Festival. The property is located 6 miles south of the Polo Fields and featured RV, tent + car camping, swimming, music, food, drinks, art and much more.
During the day, Base Camp set up a Giant Pool with live DJ’s and musicians which performed right outside the pool area. Surrounding the pool, were a series of vintage trailers which have been retrofitted into stores and shops for clothing, munchies, and drinks. They had nice showers and bathrooms which weren’t constantly packed with people which were quite nice. Base Camp offered an all day shuttle to and from the Coachella Festival grounds from the Camp Site.
The people were friendly, the drinks were cold, and strangers were welcomed. The tent situation was a combination of both glamping tents, regular tents, RV’s, and unfurnished glamping tents. It was sunny, fun, comfortable and a great place to stay during your time at Coachella Music Festival.

The Pool area was definitely our favorite spot to hang out in the 100-degree desert climate.
