The Challenge: Help Sonos create interactive environments at the SXSW music festival and CES in Las Vegas to launch a new product to buyers, retail partners & Media.
The Execution: Collaborating with other agencies, we transformed two Austin, TX houses into a pop-up version of the Sonos Studio in LA. Elements included Jason Bentley’s live daily KCRW broadcast, music performances, speaker-building workshop, custom neon furniture, and projection mapping video. At CES, we built custom listening rooms within a hotel environment, with graphics tied to Sonos artists like Deadmau5, Janelle Monae, and Questlove.
The Results: One of the most talked-about activations at SXSW, 15,000 guests, 18 music performances, and 478 speakers built in the build a speaker workshop. The CES activation served as a successful launch platform for two new Sonos products.
