Experiential Marketing with Apple

Here are all the new features announced at Apple’s WWDC 2016:

1.) You know all those pesky, useless Apple applications that they prevent you from deleting? In iOS 10, you can finally remove them!

Here’s a list of all the applications you can remove in iOS10:

Calculator, Calendar, Compass, Contacts, FaceTime, Find My Friends, Home, iBooks, iCloud Drive, iTunes Store, Mail, Maps, Music, News, Notes, Podcasts, Reminders, Stocks, Tips, Videos, Voice Memos, Watch App, and Weather.

2.) Siri will be joining the desktop OS with the next release. Apple wants us to use Siri similarly to how we’ve been using Finder and Spotlight. You can ask Siri to find files, toggle applications and do math quickly. Siri is also being opened to software developers to create custom applications for navigating around applications.

3.) Better floating between machines: Users will be able to copy and paste between the Desktop and iPhone. This feature is going to be called universal clipboard, a functionality most developers have wanted for a long, long time. You can also use your computer from your phone, so it’s basically turning it into a remote virtual machine. Very cool. If you have the Apple Watch it will be able to communicate, authenticating your credentials on your computer. No more typing in passwords to unlock your screen.

4.) More secure communications between Apple devices and Apple Pay. Soon we’ll be able to authenticate purchases using Apply pay on our phones. For example, lets say you make a purchase using Apple Pay. You can now authenticate that purchase using the fingerprint scanner on your phone, as a sort of two-point authentication.
