Google asked BeCore to cut through the noise of the college football season to promote its free Gemini Pro student offer and increase sign-ups. The challenge went beyond handing out free samples: BeCore had to demonstrate that Gemini is a productivity tool and an everyday resource. The activation targeted thousands of students across the two sprawling campuses, showcasing how AI could enhance academics, streamline everyday tasks, and elevate game-day experiences.
Bringing Google Gemini to Life on Campus
BeCore designed a multi-touch activation strategy that engaged students on and off campus. Gemini-branded bikes served as mobile hubs in high-traffic areas, distributing swag and facilitating instant sign-ups via QR codes. Custom AI T-shirt printing stations drew consistently long lines as students co-created unique designs on-site, with demand so high that staff sourced additional inventory locally. Off campus, brand ambassadors activated eight popular eateries across both cities, guiding sign-ups and distributing meal vouchers. The program culminated in a watch party attended by over 700 students at UT Austin for the Texas vs. Ohio State game.
